Nacido en Brasil, Rodrigo, comenzó estudiando publicidad y trabajó durante algunos años como diseñador gráfico antes de que un Master en Imagen Digital y Diseño le llevaran a especializarse en efectos visuales. Se instaló en Estados Unidos y empezó su carrera en la publicidad (uno de sus primeros trabajos fue The Key to Reserva dirigido por Martin Scorsese y que ganó el premio Gold Clio en 2008) antes de participar como compositor en series como True Blood y Californication y como Compositor principal en la serie Fringe de JJ Abrams.

In 2012, Rodrigo se mudó a Londres para integrar el equipo de Double Negative. Ha trabajado en películas como Skyfall, Les Misérables, Rush y la ganadora, este año, de un Oscar por sus efectos visuales, Interstellar y como Compositor principal en Thor: The Dark World y Godzilla.
Más recientemente, Rodrigo ha participado como Compositor principal en el reboot de Terminator, Terminator: Genisys, para el que ha creado un nuevo Terminator- el T3000. Actualmente, trabaja en la película Inferno de Ron Howard cuyo estreno está previsto en 2016.

Born in Brazil, Rodrigo initially studied advertising and worked for a number of years as a graphic designer before a Masters Degree in Digital Imaging and Design inspired him to make the move into visual effects. Relocating to the United States, Rodrigo began his visual effects career in commercials (one of his first jobs being the Martin Scorsese directed The Key to Reserva which won the Gold Clio in 2008) before moving on to work as a compositor for television shows such as True Blood and Californication as well as taking on the role of Lead Compositor on JJ Abrams’ Fringe.

In 2012, Rodrigo moved to London to join the team at Double Negative. Initially joining as Compositor, he worked on the likes of Skyfall, Les Miserables, Rush and, this year’s Academy Award winner for Best Visual Effects, Interstellar, before quickly moving on to take on the role of Lead Compositor on shows such as Thor: The Dark World and Godzilla.

Most recently, Rodrigo has completed work as Lead Compositor for this year’s massive Terminator reboot Terminator: Genisys, for which he was part of the team tasked with creating a brand new Terminator – the T3000. He is currently beginning work as Compositing Sequence Supervisor on Ron Howard’s Inferno, due for release in 2016.
