Rodrigo Dorsch

Born in Brazil, Rodrigo initially studied advertising and worked for a number of years as a graphic designer before a Masters Degree in Digital Imaging and Design inspired him to make the move into visual effects. Relocating to the United States, Rodrigo began his visual effects career in commercials (one of his first jobs being the Martin Scorsese directed The Key to Reserva which won the Gold Clio in 2008) before moving on to work as a compositor for television shows such as True Blood and Californication as well as taking on the role of Lead Compositor on JJ Abrams’ Fringe.

In 2012, Rodrigo moved to London to join the team at Double Negative. Initially joining as Compositor, he worked on the likes of Skyfall, Les Miserables, Rush and, this year’s Academy Award winner for Best Visual Effects, Interstellar, before quickly moving on to take on the role of Lead Compositor on shows such as Thor: The Dark World and Godzilla.

Most recently, Rodrigo has completed work as Lead Compositor for this year’s massive Terminator reboot Terminator: Genisys, for which he was part of the team tasked with creating a brand new Terminator – the T3000. He is currently beginning work as Compositing Sequence Supervisor on Ron Howard’s Inferno, due for release in 2016.
