Julius Wiedemann was born in Brazil, where he studied design and marketing. He has lived and worked in Japan, Germany and the UK. He has been Executive Design and Pop Culture Editor at TASCHEN Publishing House where he is now Director of Digital Publications. He has edited more than 50 books during the more than 13 years he has been working for the publishing house, often collaborates with various magazines and has been part of the jury in a number of international competitions. Publications directed by Wiedemann have sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide and they include the extremely popular titles; Information Graphics, the Illustration Now! series, Logo Design, Japanese Graphics Now! and books about album cover and web design.
